Crush

When you have a crush on a girl everything is awesome and amazing and nothing can hurt you. There is no such thing as a bad day. You could be stuck on that one tricky level of angry birds, gum could be stuck on your shoe and your favorite tv show could be delayed due to a weather report. Still life is awesome. It’s all about you and your crush.

One day you get up the courage to ask out this girl out on a date. Now this girl is super fantastic. She even makes candy taste better. So getting up the courage to ask out this girl is a process in itself. Many different avenues of faith building exercises come to mind. Like push ups, watching an emotional cinematic adventure (Movie), or eating a bag of skittles. When you get said faith you go for it. Which will produce one of two possible outcomes. ( Maybe doesn’t count. )

Your crush says yes. Which produces an emotional love joy firework explosion in your heart that makes you want to highfive anyone and everyone. This is equivalent to eating chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream.

Your crush says no. Which is equivalent to your ever loving caring heart getting hit by a joy murdering cement truck. The emotional response is deep and it hurts f ‘ing bad. There is no high fiving, as a matter of fact you want to dropkick a baby gazelle. God forbid if your crush rejects you near a zoo in Africa, full of infant animals.

There is also a change that takes place on the inside of you. You go from nothing hurting you, to everything hurting you. Something as simple as a smile in your general direction. Or someone complimenting you on your nice mountain dew t-shirt. And your tears will start to cry.

You well feel like this for a while (longer than you expect). Then when it feels like your heart couldn’t be more broken and your life more shattered, you survive. You learn that good things fall apart, so that even better things can fall together. You wake up, get up, and you live.
